I'm 32 weeks pregnant this week. That alone didn't freak me out. I've got about 2 months before my due date, although I know I could go pretty much any time after 36 weeks and I'd be okay with that. Actually, after my doctor's appointment yesterday, 36 weeks sounds great to me! Haha!!

Obviously, I'm getting bigger. Not HUGE in my opinion, but Baby Girl has different thoughts on that one! And my doctor's appointment kind of freaked me out a bit. It started off with "You've sent in your hospital pre-registration, haven't you? Here are your records. Make sure you carry them with you at all times. You'll need them when you go to the hospital." What?! I'm far enough along where you want me to have my chart with me at all times?! Wait! I still have 2 months to go!!!
Then, I go in for my ultrasound. Awwwwwe!! Look at my baby girl!!! (I'll post a picture later - I don't feel like working the scanner right now!) Then I see the little numbers in the corner. You moms know what I'm talking about - she takes a measurement and it "guestimates" how far along you are. Hmmm... Arms - 33wks 5 days. 30th percentile. Great. Legs - 33 weeks 4 days. 30th percentile. Okay, girlfriend is big for her age, I was too, whatever! Now comes the shocker. Head - 38 weeks 6 days. 97th percentile. WTF?!?! Huh?! Where the heck did that come from? Lets all hope that her head stays the same size for the next 7-8 weeks! Now I'm freaked out!
And then the ultrasound tech, as sweet as she can, says "It looks like she's about 5 pounds today." WHAT?! 5 pounds NOW?! She still has EIGHT WEEKS of nothing but getting bigger to go! So, yea, mama will not be upset if she goes into labor sometime around 36-37 weeks! Now watch me go to 42 weeks or something crazy like that!
So even though she let us get some measurements, baby girl did not want to play nice. She decided it was nap time after she had been doing somersaults for the previous hour. Nice. Anyways - She was balled up so tight, we couldn't get a good picture of anything! She had her hands right up in front of her face so that we couldn't see anything except fists! That's alright. We were going to do the 3D/4D thing, but I said don't waste your time, we wouldn't have been able to see much anyways!
Last night, we took a CPR class since Carl never had. It wasn't too bad. I was really proud of my husband after seeing some of the other parents and their total inability to follow basic directions. :) About half way through the session, we've been doing chest compressions for about 5 minutes, and Carl goes "I think we've been doing this too long. Time to call it." Ha!
Everything else has been going well. I'm slowly working on her quilt, and getting other things lined up. I'm not too stressed yet, but we'll see. My mom seems to think I'm going to go early (as evidenced by the first thing she said when I called her yesterday was "You're not in labor, are you?!"), so I'm trying to figure out what exactly I need soon.
