Evelyn Claire is FIVE Months Old!

It is so hard to believe that my baby is five months old! That means that she is almost 6 months old, and that means she's practically a year already! Haha! Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself, but it won't be long!

Being the mom of a 5 month old means I don't have much time to myself anymore! Gone are the days of 2-3 hour naps, (I'm still praying that they'll show up again... soon?), playing quietly in one place, and only having to worry about nursing her every couple hours.

Evelyn has wanted to know what's going on from the day she was born, and she's only getting nosier as she gets older! She wants to be in the middle of everything, and has to be the center of attention. That's not so hard to give into! However, it means that naps are practically forgotten. She's almost asleep, and then something catches her eye or she hears something interesting. Nope, not tired anymore! She has to check everything out!

Evelyn is moving around so much too! She's not quite crawling yet, but she can get herself from one side of the room to the other pretty quickly just by scooting around. Her favorite toys right now are this fisher-price ball thing that rolls itself (she "chases" it), her jump-a-roo thing and the exer-saucer. She surprises me with how well she jumps, and how quickly she spins herself around in the exer-saucer. I actually had to move the exer-saucer up a bit since she's getting so tall!!

Evelyn is eating up a storm. There hasn't been anything we've given her that she *doesn't* like. I guess that's a good thing! We've been feeding her dinner since she was 3 months old, but a few weeks ago she made it very clear she wanted more! She was not happy any time we were eating and she was not! So now she gets lunch and dinner every day, and I know it won't be long before we add breakfast into the mix! She usually plays in the jump-a-roo while I eat my cereal, and the last couple of days she's fussed watching me eat without her! I've been making all of Evelyn's food, and it's been pretty easy! I bake it, mash it up, then freeze it in ice cube trays. Evelyn has been eating peaches, apples, sweet potatoes, acorn squash, avocado, bananas, and oatmeal. Like I said, there's nothing she doesn't like!

I'm sure there is so much more that I'm forgetting to add, but surprise surprise, Little Miss is up from her nap and ready to play!
