Helping with the Laundry

Evelyn is quite the busy body lately! She is constantly moving (even more so than she has been!) and wants lots and lots of attention! She is more or less crawling now. She doesn't quite get her stomach up off the ground, but she definitely gets to where she wants to go! It's very funny to set her down in one spot, and see her 6 feet away less than a minute later. And she wants into everything. We have her toys laid out where she's playing, but that's usually not good enough. She wants our stuff! In the office it's the spare monitor & keyboards, in the kitchen it's pots, lids & spoons. She just likes to be checking out everything!

Who says you can't play with your food?

We've started letting Evelyn feed herself a bit more, and it's alot of fun. I started out putting bits of pureed foods on her tray, and that just was messy. I don't think she ate much at all! But this week, we've soft cooked apples, green beans & peaches, and sliced them up into little fingers and Evelyn just goes to town on them! She's not so interested in being spoon fed, but she does really well feeding herself. It's messy, but that's alright! It's more fun that way!

Evelyn is still toothless. I swear those things should be coming any day! For the past couple weeks, she's had her moments, just hurting so bad. She usually gets through it with the help of some tylenol, motrin & teething gel, and lots of cuddle time with mom. I've carried her in the Ergo more this week than I have in the last 5 months! She likes it, she doesn't make a peep while she's in it, and I can get stuff done. She even fell asleep while I was vacuuming (she was on my back), and then slept another hour when I laid her down! Silly girl! Night time is usually worse, but she's still sleeping fairly well, its just when she wakes up, I can tell that she's really hurting. It hurts my heart to see her hurting like that! But hopefully it won't be too much longer before we get some teeth!

Overall, Evelyn's doing very well & we're all having fun most of the time! I can't believe in a couple weeks my baby will be 6 months old! She's growing up so fast! :)
