The Lindahls: A Few Quick Updates

We are doing well here at the Lindahl House! We've had a busy summer, and it's still going!

Evelyn is almost 2 1/2 (next month) and she has been a great two-year-old so far! I hear three is worse, so I'm not claiming victory yet! Haha! She definitely has her moments, but for the most part she is so fun and cute. Even when she gets in trouble, Carl and I sometimes have to try so hard not to laugh at her! She still copies everything we say. My favorites are "5 seconds mama!" "See, I show ya!" and "Is not too bad..." I've gotten in the habit of calling the kids "Ev" and "Aves", so naturally, I am now "moms". It's kinda cute. Evelyn did a preschool summer camp and she loved it. Last week was her last week of camp and she's been asking every day to go back. "Miss Deborah and Miss Sheila in the other class today. I can go to other class. I don't go to my class, but I go to other class!" It's so funny how her mind works. She loves to swim. We've been going to the pool a few times a week and she loves to float and swim around. She's my little fish.

Avery will be 9 months on the 21st of this month. He is growing like a weed! He seems SO much bigger than even a week ago. He still can't quite walk. He's starting to hold on and scoot around a bit more, but he's not too brave yet. He still has just the two teeth, but I'm just waiting for another one to pop out! Despite the lack of teeth, my boy loves to eat. He can tear up a cracker, and he's starting to want to eat more table food. Last night he went to town on a meatball! He's generally a very happy boy and loves to laugh. This week he's been a little sick, but I'm okay with that, because he wants to be my snuggle buddy. :) Yesterday, he fell asleep while I was holding him IN the pool! Silly boy!

The rest of us are doing well. Carl is still loving his new job. He is so excited almost every day when he comes home and loves telling me about his day. I am finding time to sew and quilt more which makes me a happy girl! Haha!
