This weekend, my amazing husband decided it would be a good idea to head to the coast for the weekend. It's the first time we've been in a year, which is a shame seeing that we have a free place to stay at my grandparents' house! They live on the Neuse river, which isn't quite the ocean, but good enough for me!! Carl got Papa's jet-ski going within an hour of getting there, and he had a blast! It was a great weekend! I decided not to venture out on the jet-ski this time, mostly because the water was a little choppier than usual, and also because even if it wasn't, I like to cut-up and have fun! I figured getting thrown off probably wouldn't be a good idea for me and Spud, so I just took it easy! I laid out (in the shade- haha -I've already had my sunburn for the year thank you!) and read. I finished one book, and got a good start on a couple others!
We had the house to ourselves, so we just took it easy and didn't do much at all! I think Carl spent over 3 hours on the jet-ski over the 2 days!! We snacked all day, venturing out once each day to procure some real food. We didn't need to be home any time, so we ran a couple errands, took our time cleaning up, (I managed a little nap in there) and when we were ready, hit the road. It was short, but a great weekend all the same! I'm so thankful for my sweet hubby who just randomly decides things like this! :)
As for the pregnancy, going well. I've been able to get some more done during the day, although I still have days where I am absolutely useless. I've been lucky in that I can usually get myself together on days I have to work, but I've had a few bad work days lately. All I can do is try my best from here on out. We shall see. But I've been feeling better, and not needing as many naps. However, I'm still not brave enough to venture back to the Mexican restaurant. :( Oh well. We told my grandparents Saturday morning that we're expecting. It was very exciting, and I was very surprised that they weren't surprised at all! Happy, yes, but it was like they were expecting it! Haha! We weren't expecting that at all! This next week will be exciting as well - my mom is going to visit her family in Ontario later in the week, and she's planning on telling them then! I can't wait!! 2 more weeks til our next doctor's appointment, and another 2 after that until we have our big ultrasound!!! Wooo hoooo!!! I can't wait!
