What a morning! We are so excited to be having a girl. I'm a little bit in shock (and I know Carl is), but I think I'd feel the same way if it had been a boy too. More than anything, it makes it real that WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!! And that's a hard thing to wrap my head around. Nevermind the fact that I've already been pregnant for 4 months, and wanted badly to be for God knows how long before that! I think that after everything we've been through, it's just hard to imagine that things are working out and our sweet baby girl is strong, healthy, with some really long arms and legs!! Haha.
Baby Girl is measuring perfect. Her head and body are measuring right on for my dates, but her arms and legs are measuring a week ahead! She's going to be tall like MY Daddy! ;) It was so neat to see her moving around (bagels and OJ 10 minutes before the appointment will do that apparantly!), especially when I laughed. The nerd in me loved it too. Her brain looked so neat - you could see the corpus callosum and the ventricles forming. Her heart beating was amazing. I wish I could have videoed it. The pictures don't look like anything we really saw! But oh well.

I am so thankful for my healthy baby girl. She has made what is supposed to be a very sad day one that I'll remember as a good one for a very long time!
