This week has been pretty uneventful. I'm still having some days where I feel really bad, but other days I feel just fine! Yesterday was bad at church, I couldn't stand up without feeling like I was going to fall over. So I just sat most of the time. On top of that, it was announced that our priest is resigning. Things not to tell a pregnant woman when she already feels bad! I LOVE our priest. He's young, as far as priests go, he's very personable, and his homilies are funny, relevant, and I always learn something new! He's the priest that married us, and I was hoping he would be the priest to baptize our children. I am very sad that he's leaving. But I know it's best for him!
Anyways, I still haven't been eating much, but have been making a conscious effort to try better. I bought protein shakes so even if I don't feel like eating I can drink one of those. I have gained some weight this week, which is nice, seeing how my bump has made it's debut! But Saturday night, we went out to eat with both of our parents. There was a pig-pickin at a firestation near Carl's parents house, and Gary knew about it since his parents grew up nearby, so we all (except Gary - haha- he was golfing!) went to this fire station and had the BEST barbecue!! I ate EVERYTHING on my plate. Even the chicken was delicious, and that is one thing that has made me nauseous! Everything was perfect -the bbq, the coleslaw, the potato, the hushpuppies, and I even got into some sweet tea that just made the meal! The only thing missing was some banana pudding! (Which, consequently, I have been craving since!!)
So the big pregnancy excitement this week has been my bump. I can't believe it's gotten so big, so fast! And I have a LONG way to go!!! :) Sometimes I think I'm feeling some movement, but I'm not quite sure yet. It never lasts for very long, and it's not consistant. I'll wait til I have some big kick I know for sure is our little Spud before getting too excited about it!
We have our next doctor's appointment this week. 16 weeks!!! Wow!!! It should just be a short appointment, but part of me REALLY wants an ultrasound! I know it's only 2 more weeks until our big ultrasound, but I want to know NOW if we're having a boy or a girl!! Haha, my how things change!! I really think that it's a girl. Most of my friends are having, or have had girls, so I don't know if it's peer pressure, or what. I always said I wanted a boy first, but I am almost positive this is a girl. I don't have any reason to think that other than intuition! We shall see in a couple weeks!
We're also going to Myrtle Beach for the night this week to see my aunt & uncle & their kids. I'm very excited. We haven't seen them since last year when they came down! We're hoping to get 2 full days with them this week, and then they'll be up here next week for a couple days! I can't wait! My mom was up in Ontario visiting them last week, and said the kids are so excited! Ethan is almost 4 and Emily is 18 months, so that will be a fun time!
