37 weeks today! And man am I ready to have this baby!! I just generally feel crummy some days, but all in all I can't complain too much!
Baby Girl has dropped, a little, but enough to notice. She doesn't get all up under my ribs anymore, which has been nice. Honestly, I think I'm more comfortable with her now, but just everything else is getting on my nerves! I get nauseated alot and I can't really tell why, I'm so so so tired all the time, and it takes way more energy to do little things than it should. Getting out of bed in the mornings? Yea, thats my workout for the day. Haha!
Anyways - we saw my favorite midwife this morning. I LOVE her! I've known her for years, so it's more relaxed and easy going I feel like. She felt baby girl, said she doesn't feel very big. Since our last ultrasound, I've tried not to worry about how big she is. I really think that the ultrasound guessed she weighed so much because she's got long legs. Janice said she thinks the biggest she'll be in 3 weeks is 8 pounds. I can deal with a 7-8 pound baby. Both Carl & I were in the 7 1/2 range, so that's what I'm expecting. Now for this big head, there's nothing we can do about that!
We're nearing the end of our weekly baby classes. I've really enjoyed them and I think I've gotten alot out of it. Carl and I had watched a DVD class before actually going, and while we learned alot about basic stuff, I really think that the class has gone above and beyond that. I've been worried that I'll freak out once I go into labor, that it will just be too much for me, but I think the classes have realistically prepared me for whats going on, and how to handle different situations.
I'm trying my best to be open minded about everything. I'm trying not to have any expectations, because I think that only leads to disappointment. So if she decides to come tomorrow, I'm okay with that. If she decides to wait around another 4 or 5 weeks, yea, I'll be more than ready, but I think I'd be okay with that too. Same with labor. If I get to the hospital and have her an hour later, great, but I'm also preparing myself to labor for a day or more before she decides its time. I've got our bags packed with snacks and stuff to do, so we shall see.
Like I said last week, I really want to have this weekend to spend with Carl, but after that, it's on!! I'll be trying all the old wives tales and seeing how far that gets me. I'm ready to hold my little girl in my arms!
