Wonderful Weekend!

So I wanted one "last" weekend to spend with Carl before Baby Girl arrives, and what a great weekend it was!  Usually when I look forward to something as much as I was looking forward to this weekend, I get sorely disappointed.  But honestly, it didn't matter what we did, I just wanted to spend the whole weekend with my sweetheart!!

Saturday morning we got up early and headed downtown for my maternity photos.  We met our photographer at Haywood Hall, where we got married.  I love that place!  Even in February it's still beautiful outside!  Even the weather cooperated - it was nice and cool and sunny!  We had a little visitor, a kitten who ran up and wanted to be in the middle of everything, especially our pictures!  She was cute though, so that made it okay!  Sarah put a few pictures up on her facebook page, and I love them!  I can't wait to see them all!!

After that, we headed home to finish up the last few things for the baby.  We got the carseat installed in my car, put some shelves up, and organized the last bit of stuff we had just lying in the nursery.  Even though I still haven't finished (or progressed at all) the quilt or curtains, when I walk by the nursery, I feel like it's finished.  :)  YAY! 

I decided that I really wanted to go to a movie.  There weren't any movies out that I really wanted to see, but I know that it will be a long time before we're able to go sit in a movie theater again!  Ha!  We went to see "Just Go With It" with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston.  It was hilarious!  It seemed like it could be a little "chick-flick-y" but there was enough raunchy humor and girls in bikinis for Carl to love it too.  Haha! 

I didn't want to go somewhere for dinner just to wait forever and pay big money for not great food (it was Valentine's weekend), so we just went to a decent Japanese steakhouse (ie- NOT Kanki).  It was alright.  The service was so bad it just got to be humorous, but the food was good!  Haha!  Overall it was a pretty good day!

Sunday was nice and relaxing.  We got up, went to church, & got breakfast at IHOP (finally!! ;).  It was such a nice day outside, we did some yardwork, took the dog for a walk around the lake (I actually made it the whole 2 1/2 miles!!), and then I spent the rest of the afternoon reading in the hammock!!  Yay!!  We had dinner at my parent's house for Gary's birthday, and enjoyed hanging out with my family for a while!

I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!  Now if only Baby Girl will decide to show up!  Not one sign that she's ready to make her appearance, and I'm ready for that to change!!  Only about 2 more weeks til my due date!  As sure as I was that I would go early, now I'm starting to feel like March 2 will come and go!  We shall see...  for now, it's lots of walks, spicy food, and cleaning to get this girl here!  Haha!
