Evelyn Claire is 3 Months Old!

Today, Evelyn is 3 months old!  I think I'll say this til the day I die, but I can't imagine life before her!  It seems like she's been here so much longer than 3 months!  She surprises me every day with how much she learns and how fast she grows!

This morning, Carl and I took Evelyn to the pool for the first time.  It was a little close to naptime, and the water was chilly, so it took her a few minutes to get used to the water, but I think she really enjoyed it!!  I had planned on only staying 20 minutes or so, since it was her first time.  We had a little float for her.  She could lay back in it, but didn't go for it very well.  She would much rather be standing up!  We held her up while she splashed, then floated her around on her back and on her stomach.  She really liked that!  She got one little mouthful of water, and started laughing!  Silly girl!  They also have a spray-ground.  We held her in front of the water and she didn't know what to think!  We ended up staying for close to an hour!!  And the only time she cried was when I laid her down to change her clothes when we were done!  We will definitely be visiting the pool more often this year!

Yesterday, I mentioned that Evelyn wasn't sleeping very well.  Well, she actually slept 5 1/2 hours, then 4 hours last night.  Woo hoo!  Of course, I was still tired when she woke up at 6:30 this morning, so I nursed her and then laid her back in the crib.  I put some toys in, and fell back asleep listening to her "talking"!  I got another hour that way!  Woo hoo!!

Something else we've noticed in the past week is it seems like Evelyn is teething!  Not every day, but I'd say 5 of the last 7 days, Evelyn wants nothing more than to be gnawing on her hands, and we've had to start putting bibs on her so that she doesn't soak her shirt she's drooling so much!  I've been keeping an eye on her bottom gums, and no buds yet, but they might be swollen just a little bit!  I can't believe it!
