Evelyn has been a traveling girl this month! Barely a week after getting back from Canada, we piled in the car again for a long weekend at my grandparent's river house near the coast. Mom, Evelyn & I went on Thursday, and Carl & Stephen joined us Friday night. We had a great time! Evelyn did pretty well in the car. It's a 3 hour trip. She fussed part of the way there and we had to stop once, but she was fine once I sat in the backseat with her. On the way back, she slept most of the way, and we got to Grandma's house just before she really let loose! Haha!
Evelyn didn't get in the river (heck, I rarely like swimming in the river! Plus there were tons of jellyfish out!), but we did have a blow up pool for her in the yard. That was great! She was either loved to pool or hated it! Silly girl! She mostly likes standing in the water and splashing, but she tolerated floating around a bit too. She was really funny trying to lap up the water like a cat!
Carl and Stephen enjoyed the jet ski, even though it was a bit rough out most of the weekend. I got out once for a good soaking, then rode with Carl down to the creek while Evelyn was napping.
