Learning so much!

I feel like Evelyn is having another one of her "learning spurts". It seems like she does the same things for a while, and then all of a sudden, she can do all these new things at once! It's very neat!

Evelyn is trying her hardest to talk. She mostly just jabbers away all day, but she does say a couple words pretty clearly, and some more that I know what she's saying. :) It's funny how she went from babbling to making a handful of words so quickly!

Her first word was "banana". I will admit that I pushed that one pretty hard. Haha. "Nananana" was one of the first syllables she said, so I figured banana was pretty easy to progress to. Not to mention it is by far her favorite food, so now she can beg for it! Haha! She still says "nana" alot, when she has a banana in front of her, she can get out the "ba" in front of it. It's so funny though, the entire time during a meal its Bite- "nana!" - chew - "nana!" - drink - "Nana!" - chew - "NANA!" - chew - "MAMAMAMA! BAnana!"

She says "mama" very well, although she still strings it out to "mamamamamama" sometimes. But she'll point at me and say "Mama" alot, so that makes me happy! However, "dada" came first, and I think she still says that the most. It's all good tho! It's so cute when she hears Carl come home and it's "Dadadadadada!"

Some of the words that aren't so clear, but I'm pretty sure she knows what she's saying are "All done!" and "Dozer". When she's quiet and happy, and Dozer comes up to her, she'll say "Dough-er!". It's very cute! Maybe one of these days I'll get around to uploading a video! :)

Evelyn still isn't walking on her own yet, but she is SOOOO close! I feel like I've been saying that since we went to the beach in November, but she's getting so close! She's started standing without support every now and then, and she can fall down without busting her bum, so that's a plus! She's barely holding on (literally the tip of my finger) when we walk, and I can even walk beside her, holding one hand, instead of behind her. Her balance has been off the past couple days, but she cut a tooth today, so I'm hoping that soon she'll just jump right back, and head off without me! Silly girl!

My baby girl is 10 months old today! Maybe one day this week I'll get around to taking her 10 month pictures! She's so close to being a toddler, and while I'm so excited that she is learning so much, I'm going to miss all this cuddling and rocking we do with the baby! :)
