Carl's parents are going to Hawaii on Sunday to see Chris's submarine come into port. He's been gone for 6 months, and it's been 9 months since they've seen him, but of course everything happens at the same time! I know they're upset that they might miss Baby Girl's first few days, so I hope she decides to come before Sunday! My mom took a couple vacation days around my due date so that she would be able to help me out. She has 12 days off in a row. If Baby Girl doesn't show up before I'm induced, she'll probably be born on mom's first day back to work. Go figure! Haha!
I've been feeling alright. Some really good days, some not so good. This afternoon has been hard. I'm tired and nauseous. And this heartburn gets worse on a daily basis. Poor Carl has been at home the past few days, so he gets to deal with it all!
It's been a week that I've been out of work. I miss seeing my girls, but I think it was a good decision. I've been able to work on lots of stuff around the house and not be totally exhausted. My biggest fear was that I'd go into labor after working all day and be too tired to do anything productive. I'm still tired alot of the time, but I feel much better! Part of me wishes I could have sucked it up, but I know I would have been miserable after 12 hours.
I have finally finished most of my sewing projects! I finished the nursery curtains and baby quilt yesterday! I even sewed up a couple pillows. The quilt didn't quite turn out how I'd hoped - I had a wonky bobbin while quilting and it really screwed up the back. :( And then the binding didn't play nice, but I'm in the "IT'S DONE!!!" camp and don't feel like ripping everything out. Haha!
