39 Weeks

Thirty-nine weeks and I couldn't be more ready for this little guy to make his debut!  I think it's funny that I have been preparing myself to go to 41 weeks again, but I am READY to have this baby!  I'm big and uncomfortable, and sleep is not happening!
39 Weeks...
I think the lack of sleep is the worst part.  I either lay in bed for 2, 3, 4 hours before finally falling asleep, or I wake up sometime between 4 and 5 and can't get back to sleep.  And Evelyn doesn't wake up until 8.  Hmmm.  And even though I manage to get a nap when Evelyn does, I can't sleep more than 20-30 minutes.  I am VERY used to getting 8-10 hours of sleep, so I know my body is just starting to get used to the extreme lack of sleep I'm about to experience!
"Night-night!" She wanted to be tucked into Mom's bed... at like 11am!
With Evelyn, I never had any contractions until the afternoon that I was already scheduled to be induced.  This time, I have been having Braxton-Hicks contractions for as long as I can remember.  They're starting to get a bit stronger, and they're moving something along.  I just hope that they soon get to be the real thing!  Every afternoon and evening, the contractions get stronger and stronger, and I go to bed sure that I'll wake up with my water breaking.  Then I wake up in the morning and no contractions for a few hours.  They slowly pick up during the day, then I'm really uncomfortable again.  I'm trying to not wear myself out, but at the same time not rest TOO much because I DO want these things to get stronger!  We shall see.  I just don't want 2 more weeks of feeling like poop in the evenings!  Not to mention, it's hard enough feeling bad, it's worse when I have Evelyn to worry about too.  Luckily, I usually feel the worst when Carl is at home to help!  That's not to say we haven't had a few moments during the days....

Santa Hat!
I think I've finally got my family healthy.  Carl has gone a whole week without trying to fall apart on me, and Evelyn is just about over her cold.  She's still got a bit of a runny nose, but it's not nasty and she's not coughing much anymore!  Now it's my turn to be lazy, right?  Haha!

Evelyn's Christmas Tree
Evelyn is doing very well.  She's still enjoying playing in her brother's room, and we talk about him all the time.  She's doing great with me not being the best mom.  She plays well as long as I'm nearby, and she doesn't seem to mind that we're not out doing stuff alot.  Yesterday, I tried to go ahead and get Santa pictures done for the year.  Ha.  We've been talking about Santa alot.  We talked about how he's very nice, and looked at pictures from last year, and we even have a Santa hat that Evelyn's been wearing around.  She was very excited talking about Santa yesterday morning.  She got dressed up in her Christmas dress and was all ready to go.  We got to the mall, and she's still talking 100 miles an hour about Santa.  Then we saw him.  Freeze.  It didn't go so well.  She wasn't overly upset, she just didn't want to get near him.  We did end up getting a picture (with me in it... yuck!), but it's not great!  It won't be on the Christmas card this year!  Haha!

Most of the pictures on our camera are E's self portraits...
Anyways, hopefully it won't be too long before I post about our newest addition!!!!  :)
